Hot Water Temperature Control Valves

Wyatts Plumbing Services provide installation, repairs and maintenance of hot water temperature control valves to customers throughout the northern Gold Coast.

For all new homes or renovations it is compulsory to install tempering valves. When replacing a hot water unit you need to fit one. Tempering valve works by mixing hot and cold water together to supply tempered hot water no higher than 50 degrees. This helps keep both children and adults safe from being burnt or scalded by hot water.

The water temperature stored in your hot water unit has to be above 600C to prevent a breeding ground for Legionella.
